CRC iDMS | Fourth & FINAL Round | Cullohill, Co. Laois

Doh!

Poster of CRCiDMS Rd#Four

The fourth and final round of the 3013 CRC iDMS at Cullohill, Co Laois on the 28th and 29th September 2013

Race Track

Off the start ramp straight over rough rocky rooty terrain then over a small drop into small jump landing off camber onto a few roots into small tabletop and across the fire road. It then takes you over a small rock- garden to a 90degree turn which takes you out onto the open section. A few pedal strokes lead into a banked S bend, then down a rooty chute and over a timber drop (roll-able) then on the pedals into a gap jump (roll-able) and straight on flat out to a small tabletop which sends you into the new step-up/step-down section. Few pedals after this drops you into a steep rocky section and down into a right hand berm sending you into a rooty off camber tight steep section and out over a few more rocks. Into a double set of S-bends leads you to the big step down. Down the landing, over the rock garden, into the field and over a jump landing off camber to the right. You are at the finish line! J This description does not do the track justice. Ya may just come down and see for yourselves! A lot of work has been carried out over the last year and the track is riding very fast. There is an easier option around all jumps including the last drop (to the left of it) to suit all riders.

Event

Cullo DH will have catering, live timing and uplifts.

Grrana energy will be on board for the event supplying drinks.

There will be toilet facilities available.

Derick Daveron of MBW Bike Works will also be your onsite bike mechanic.

Facehole/MBW Tullamore

After Saturday’s practice there will be a few tunes in the field and a bonfire area.

Uplifts

Uplifts will be running on both the Saturday and Sunday. No race number=no uplift. Riding the course without a number over the course of the event will jeopardise the event since you are not covered under the events insurance or medical support.

Venue Considerations

Cullo DH would like to remind all riders and spectators that the race is on Coillte land and parking and finish line is on local farmer’s field. Downhill racing relies heavily on the kind support of Coillte for race venues and it is important that the positive relationship that has been built up by Cullo DH is not jeopardised by leaving litter in the forest or causing tension with locals through inconsiderate behavior. You are also reminded that mini bikes and the like are not permitted under any circumstance.

Also any spectators coming please listen to Marshall’s at all times and stay off the tracks plus riders try keep track clear at all times to avoid any accidents.

Parking

Please apply some common sense when parking your vehicles in the field and allow easy access to local traffic so that the event doesn’t unnecessarily attract the attention of the Gardai or cause issues for Coillte or local residents. Please co-operate with the race organisers.
